Baby Overdoses on Fentanyl in San Francisco (CA) Park; Firefighters Use Narcan to Revive

San Francisco firefighters used Narcan to revive a 10-month-old baby who ingested fentanyl on Tuesday.

The baby was playing in the grass at Moscone Park on Chestnut Street in the marina district. That’s where his father suspects he came in contact with the drug and ingested it, KRON 4 reports

The boy’s quick thinking nanny called the fire department for help, and firefighters were able to treat the baby and transport him to an emergency room.

The baby has recovered, and the city has promised to step-up cleaning activities in the park, which is a location used by drug users.
