Tornado Passes Over Alvarado (TX) Firefighters Battling Pallet Yard Fire

Firefighters in Alvarado responded to a call at a pallet yard on fire Monday at about 10 p.m.

Once on scene, they received notice of a tornado in Johnson County, and watched as it passed overhead.

So far, damage from the fire has been confined to the pallet yard, where the fire is expected to continue for at least another day.

Nearby homes were spared any damage and no one was injured in the fire. Firefighters suspect a lightning strike may have cause the fire.
