Westco Tire in Alliance burned Tuesday morning at about 2 a.m., shooting flames 60 feet into the air.
The fire started outside the building and quickly caught the store on fire, Alliance Volunteer Fire Department Chief Troy Shoemaker told News Channel Nebraska.
Because of the roof construction in the former supermarket, firefighters had to take a defensive approach to the fire, which consumer tires, oil, and propane tanks over a seven hour period..
The fire was contained to the Alliance property. No one was injured in the fire.
