BROOKLYN, N.Y. — One person was killed and at least seven others were seriously hurt after a fire swept through an apartment building early Monday, according to reports.

The name of the victim hasn’t been released, according to a report by WNBC-TV. One of the injuries is critical, the station reported.

It happened around 4 a.m. in the Flatbush section. The cause of the fire is unclear.
