Woman Killed, Firefighters Hurt in East Orange (NJ) Fire

A minivan caught fire and spread to an apartment building on Prospect Street in East Orange early Friday morning, killing an elderly woman.

Extreme heat led to five firefighters seeking treatment at the hospital as they fought the fire. The fatality was an elderly woman who lived on the third floor of the building.

Seventeen families were displaced by the fire.
