West Bloomfield (MI) Fire Kills Three Teens

Three children died after being trapped inside their burning home, which did not have working smoke detectors

The fire broke out around 8 p.m. on Sunday night at a home on Pembury Lane, Fox 2 reported.

Firefighters arrived at the scene near 14 Mile and Orchard Lake Road within five minutes. Firefighters immediately launched a search, locating two of the children on the first floor and the third upstairs. All three were rushed to local hospitals, but their injuries proved fatal.

The three siblings—a 16-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy, and a 12-year-old boy—all died from their injuries.
