D.C. Firefighters Make Rescues at Fire in Columbia Heights

Washington firefighters rescued several victims at a fire in the city’s Columbia Heights neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

One victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, D.C. Fire said via Twitter.

The flames involved the top floor and attic of the three-story rowhouse located in the 1500 block of Park Road NW where firefighters responded around 4:30 p.m.

By 5:30 they had made significant progress extinguishing the fire and saw no apparent extension to neighboring buildings.
