At approximately 1900 hours on June 27th, 2018 The Redondo Beach Fire Department responded to a report of a well involved attached garage on the 1800 block of Huntington Ln. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the fire had extended into the first and second floor of the two-story single family dwelling. Due to neighboring residences, Battalion Chief 61 known as “Huntington IC” requested a 2nd alarm assignment. Firefighters made an aggressive fire attack limiting the damage to the single structure. One civilian suffered from smoke inhalation and was treated by paramedics and transported to a local hospital. One firefighter also suffered from cramping.
