Just after midnight on Sunday morning, the Mount Carmel (PA) Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 12 South Walnut.

First-arriving units could see the fire from blocks away and requested a second alarm. The house became fully engulfed with heavy fire showing from all floors.

Water pressure issues continued for the department as area hydrants lacked pressure. About 15 minutes in, though, the bulk of the fire was knocked down and crews began overhaul.

The fire is under investigation.
