Vent, Enter, Search Training Short

UL Firefighter Safety – This video shows the results of an experiment designed to simulate conditions encountered during a Vent Enter Isolate Search operation.

Compare the flow from the isolated room with the closed door versus the open room that is in the flow path once the window is ventilated.

Review the temperatures once the flow path is created and after the door is closed removing it from the flow path.

Discuss your VEIS procedures and remember that conditions in the open bedroom begin to worsen when the glass breaks so think about making the time from window breakage to door isolation as short as possible.
