Engine 9 and Engine 6 go to work
Stockton Fire History Originals – On October 2nd, Stockton Firefighters responded to reports of a fence on fire extending into a structure. Crews arrived on scene to a garage and fence on fire. As firefighters attacked the fence fire, they determined that the structure was a detached garage and that the fire had not extended into the house.
In this video, firefighters pull a second line and use hand tools to force the garage man-door. The fire is attacked head-on at the man-door, while the second line to moved to the rear of the building. Though the fire was threatening to extend to the house, firefighters worked quickly and extinguished the blaze before it could do so. The fire was put under control within 12 minutes of the initial 9-1-1 call (includes alerting and response time). The incident was controlled without injury or incident.
