Unique rescue in Alameda County
On October 25, Truck 28 rescued a hawk that got caught in the top netting of a gas station. Firefighters were able to free the hawk in 15 minutes.
Thank you Newark Police Department for taking the hawk to a local veterinarian clinic, and providing support and traffic control for the rescue.
