Trapped by Fire in Oklahoma City

Oklahoma City Fire Department – Just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, OKCFD Dispatchers were flooded with calls reporting an apartment building on fire at 8800 S. Drexel Ave.

While Dispatch Major K. Colwell quickly alerted firefighters, Dispatch Corporal J. Weaver received a call that all dispatchers are prepared for, but never like to answer.

Two victims who are trapped by fire and frantically asking for help.

Cpl. Weaver and Maj. Colwell worked together to help direct responding firefighters the location of the trapped victims.

Shortly after arriving on scene, firefighters on E25 were able to locate and quickly move the victims to safety.

Thankfully, there were no serious injuries reported in this fire.
