New England Fire Training – Thank you to Chhunly Prak at Blacklist Arsenal for the videography!

On February 29, 2020 New England Fire Training was invited to Epping Fire & Rescue to conduct a day long training event.

We brought our hogwall and forcible entry prop and set up right in the bay. Firefighters from 7 different departments throughout the region participated.

They started the day with firefighter down CPR and forcible entry work then transitioned to pack confidence drills in the maze. Working through doors, breaching walls, entanglement and bailing out windows were all a part of the morning.

After a long lunch everyone came came to work on more realistic scenarios. Starting with pack conversions outside the prop firefighters got their reps in.

We opened the hogwall prop in the afternoon to represent an apartment floor plan. Two rooms, a hallway and a bathroom provided the arena for firefighters to work on the skills presented in the morning. Firefighters would search the floor plan and encounter various issues that will force them to transition from a search to a wall breach, pack conversion or a bail out.

All in all it was a very good day! Thank you to all who participated! A huge thank you to Epping Fire & Rescue for partnering with us!
