The Legacy of the Worcester Cold Storage Fire

WFD hadn’t experienced a line-of-duty death since 1962.

National Fire Protection Association – Twenty years ago on December 3, six firefighters died fighting a blaze in an abandoned cold storage warehouse in Worcester, Massachusetts. The impact of the fire can still be felt today, as NFPA’s Matthew Foley explains in this video.
