Serious Crash Involving Pompano Beach (FL) Fire Rescue Unit Sends Six to Hospital

POMPANO BEACH, FL – A Pompano Beach Fire Rescue truck collided with a lawn service truck Thursday evening while transporting a patient, sending six people to the hospital, including three firefighters.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Northwest 31st Avenue during rush hour. Witnesses described the chaotic scene as bystanders rushed to assist, attempting to free individuals from the wreckage. One person in the lawn service truck sustained critical injuries, while the firefighters and the patient being transported were also hospitalized.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage, requiring a crane and flatbeds to clear the intersection, which remained closed for hours.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office traffic homicide unit is investigating the cause of the crash.
