Fire in an abandoned structure

ONSCENE TV – 10.13.2019 | 7:55 AM | SAN BERNARDINO – A stubborn fire burned through a building, early Sunday morning.

Authorities responded to reports of a structure fire burning in the 4100 block of Hallmark Parkway around 7:55 AM.

Units arriving on scene located a single-story structure with heavy smoke and fire showing and began efforts to attack the blaze.

A second-alarm response was requested due to the intensity of the fire which burned for almost an hour before being knocked down.

No injuries were immediately reported to civilians for firefighters.

Witnesses say they believe the building is abandoned but occupied by transients.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
