16 hurt in MTA bus crash

BROOKLYN, New York – This afternoon we got a call for a bus accident into a building. Our units responded and were here within approximately three minutes. We searched and evacuated the building. We have a total of 16 patients, 13 were transported to area hospitals. No life-threatening injuries, all minor or moderate injuries. As of right now, we’re awaiting a Department of Buildings engineer to make a structural assessment of the building. MTA is on the scene, as well as NYPD. They will be conducting an investigation of the accident,” said FDNY Deputy Chief James Smithwick from the scene of a MTA Bus that crashed into a building at 174 Lincoln Road in Brooklyn.
