One Person Dead After Fire Rips Through FL Home

One person has died after a fire ripped through a Davie house early Tuesday morning, officials say.

Rescue crews responded to the 4800 block of Southwest 76th Avenue after reports of a fire with a possible entrapment, according to Davie Fire Marshal Robert Taylor.

“Tragically, one fatality was discovered within the structure,” Taylor wrote in an email to the Herald.

The fire department did not identify the person who died.

The fire has since been put out by Davie Fire Rescue which is working with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Davie Police Department to determine the cause of the fire.
