North Carolina Trench Rescue Training

Pilot program for ANG base firefighters

City of Hickory – This is the North Carolina Emergency Training Center (consisting of N.C. Air National Guard, NC OSFM, & Stanley Community College) pilot program from 08-26-2019 through 08-30-2019.

The City of Hickory Fire Department participated (5 members) along with Asheville, Concord, Monroe, and Salisbury in the first-ever full civilian firefighter rescue school at the NCANG RTS located in New London, NC.

Firefighters resided on base throughout the program.

This particular program is referred to as NCANG Urban Search & Rescue Tech 2, which consists of IFSAC Certifications in Trench and Structural Collapse.
