Nearly a Dozen Crews Battle Vacant House Fire in Penn Township

Crews were called to a home near the intersection of First Street Extension and Drakulic Lane for a report of a fire, and more companies continued to arrive as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.

Jul. 5–Nearly a dozen fire companies responded to a house fire Monday afternoon in Penn Township’s Level Green neighborhood.

Crews were called to a home near the intersection of First Street Extension and Drakulic Lane for a report of a fire, and more companies continued to arrive as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.

A Penn Township firefighter said the home has been vacant for more than a decade, and Penn Township police said no one was injured in the fire.

First Street Extension is closed at Newell Lane.
