Commercial Structure Fire

Mattoon Fire and Charleston Fire were dispatched to the area of 13th & Dewitt at 8:45 PM for a reported structure fire with heavy smoke showing.
While en route, the address was updated to 13th & Piatt. Upon arrival, crews were met with heavy smoke and fire showing from a commercial structure.
No injuries were reported at the scene. Crews battled the fire for a couple of hours before containing the fire and putting it out. No cause of the fire has been determined at this time.
The building was Superior Service Company and it appears to be a total loss along with at least one vehicle that was inside the building.
