firelensman – 12-28-2017 LAFD Engine 9 originally dispatched to a rubbish fire confirmed with metro fire dispatch that the exterior fire has extended into a two story commercial.
The call was upgraded to a structure fire as firefighters forced entry, quickly extinguishing the flames inside the front of the older brick building.
The main bulk of fire was knocked down in fifteen minutes.
There were no reported injuries, the occupants of the tents have seemed to have fled the scene. – MNR –
