Fire showing from a building under demolition
Los Angeles Fire Department was called out to the 1500 block of east Industrial Street for a reported structure fire. First arriving units found a two story cold storage facility with heavy smoke showing. The facility was in the process of being demolished when the fire broke out. Firefighters went in the defensive mode to attack the fire. One worker was rescued by firefighters. It took 130 firefighters 71 minutes to knock down the fire. The cause is under investigation.
