Los Angeles Attic Fire

firelensman – 10-22-2018 Los Angeles Firefighters, Task Force 69 – Engine 23, first on scene at 15757 West Sunset Boulevard in Pacific Palisades reported smoke showing from a two story apartment house over parking. The fire involved a section of the attic space where electrical lines entered the building.

LAFD Firefighters pulled ceiling, “dropped bagged” a hoseline to the roof and knocked the fire down in 30 minutes. A “B Assignment” was all that was needed to keep the fire in check. There were no reported injuries, most of the damage involved one unit and the attic space above. The cause of the smokey early morning blaze seemed to be electrical in nature. – MNR –
