Lisburn Fire Company Lt. Christian Seymour will wear his turnout gear to participate in the 25th annual “Donor Dash” in Philadelphia.
The 3k walk draws attention to the issue of encouraging people to sign up to become organ donors, and Seymour will walk in honor of his mother Lisa, who passed away last year and donated her organs to others.
The Lower Allen Township firefighter told Fox 43 the weight of the gear represents the weight lifted from the shoulders of people who receive an organ donation.
