Laying Out from the Firehouse

South Metro Fire Rescue PIO – Just after 1 p.m. Firefighters at South Metro Station 41 smelled smoke. When they looked outside they saw a fence and the rear of a town home in flames. The crew immediately called for more units, put on protective gear and advanced hose 300 feet to the fire. Their fast action kept the flames from spreading inside where 1 person was asleep. No injuries occurred and investigators were called to the scene.
