Landis (NC) Fire Department Temporarily Shutting Down After COVID Outbreak Among Staff

The Landis (NC) Fire Department is temporarily shutting down after multiple reported COVID-19 cases within the department’s staff, reports wcnc.com.

Operations were suspended at 7 p.m. Wednesday, and officials believe operations should resume August 26 if all goes according to plan with regards to quarantine and recovery.

During the closure no employees or volunteers will be allowed to enter the station or answer calls. Officials say China Grove and Kannapolis crews will help cover the area during this time.
