A garage fire threatening a house on
South 4th Avenue
Los Angeles Fire Department Battalion 13 companies were dispatched to a reported structure fire in 66’s first-in on the 6700 blk. of S. 4th Ave. just before 04:00 hrs.
Units assigned: BC11 (canceled), BC13, TF33, TF66, E57, SQ21, RA33, RA266, & RA866.
Task Force 66 was first on scene of a single-story single family dwelling with fire showing from a detached garage to the rear.
Engine 66 was initial fire attack with back-up from Engine 57, Light Force 66 went to the roof of the exposed home. Task Force 33 checked surrounding exposures that turned out to be clear and Battalion 13 took over “4th Avenue IC” once they arrived on scene.
Knockdown was called in 17 mins., unknown origin. One female patient was transported to a local hospital by Rescue 266 for shortness of breath, American Red Cross was requested by Battalion 13.
