House Speaker Pelosi Visits Baltimore (MD) Fire Boat Named for Her Father

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited the Fire Museum of Maryland Monday to witness the fireboat named for her father get its new mission.

The the diesel powered fireboat Mayor Thomas D’Alesandro, Jr., was launched in 1956 and served the city until 2015. It was nearly scrapped, however, until the Fire Museum of Maryland in Lutherville gave ‘The Tommy’ its new home, welcoming visitors to the museum.
