Erie County NY Fire Incidents – Depew alerted for a second structure fire with animals trapped, while finishing up at previous fire on Transit Road.
Twin District 9-2 on scene with a fully-involved barn fire approximately 50′ x 200′.
Attack crews from Hy-View and Bowmansville stretch out 2½” hand lines and Bellevue sets up ladder pipe operations. Fire extends into a rear cottage but is quickly knocked down.
U-Crest and Lancaster Village flank out lines to #2 side. Depew crews battered by first fire flake out backup lines.
Depew DPW brings in a high-lift to help demo barn which was full of hay at time of fire.
12 horses and two dogs perished in fire.
