Greeley (CO) Fire Department Tackles House Fire

Greeley (CO) Fire Department crews were called to the 800 block of 4th Street on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. for reports of a house fire.

While en route, crews were notified of three people trapped by the fire and requested a second alarm. Firefighters arrived to find a two-story house with heavy fire in the front and on the first floor. Assistance from the Greeley Police Department was requested.

Crews then attacked and quickly extinguished the fire; two victims were removed from the structure. One was transported to the hospital by Banner Health Paramedics, the other victim was treated and released.

Three families have been displaced by the fire and are being assisted by the Red Cross. The estimated damage is $150,000.

Fire and police officials are investigating.
