Franklin Township, NJ Structure Fire

Around 6:30pm on 5/31/2019 Franklin Township District 1 fire departments were dispatched for a structure fire on Smithwold Rd. Chiefs arriving on location shortly after struck immediate 2nd alarm with flames showing through the roof. Due to heavy fire through the roof they went with exterior operations only. 

Video shows flames through the roof on arrival and Ladder 26 setting up in front of the structure. Sorry in advance for shakiness, I grabbed what camera I had readily available and the image stabilization wasn’t set correctly. I was also trying to take still photos at the same time.

Station 26 – Elizabeth Ave Fire Department Apparatus: Ladder 26 Engine 261 Support 26 

Station 56 – Somerset Fire/Rescue Apparatus: Engine 561 Engine 562 Special Ops 56 

Station 44 – Middlebush Fire Department Apparatus: Engine 441 Engine 442 Tanker 44 (was staged away from the scene, not in the video) 

Station 25 – Community Fire Co. Apparatus: Ladder 25 

Station 27 – East Franklin Fire Department Apparatus: Squad 27 

Station 28 – Millstone Valley Fire Department Apparatus: A28 Special Services unit 

Squad 23 – Bound Brook Fire Department Engine 551 – South Bound Brook Fire Department
