Firefighters Battle Holly Springs (NC) Concrete Plant Fire

Holly Springs firefighters battled a fire at a concrete plant Monday night.

The fire was reported at about 8:45 p.m. at SVG Concrete Services and Concrete Pumping on Thomas Road.

When firefighters arrived, flames were already coming from a corner of the building and soon spread.

A second alarm was sounded and firefighters from Apex and Fairview fire departments joined in the fight.

A total of 36 firefighters were at the scene.

The fire was extinguished by 9:30 p.m.
