Firefighter Falls Off Roof at California Fire

ONSCENE TV – 10.19.2019 | 9:17 PM | LOS ANGELES – A firefighter suffered minor injuries after falling from the roof of a home engulfed in fire, Saturday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a residential structure burning in the 11600 block of Cantara Street in the Sun Valley area around 9:17 PM.

Crews arriving on scene located a single-story home with heavy fire showing and began efforts to attack the blaze.

Firefighters worked to protect adjacent structures and ultimately contained the fire within 30 minutes.

During efforts to battle the blaze a firefighter fell from the roof of the structure. He was treated on scene and transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
