Two-alarm fire in Laurel puts dozens in the cold

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. (WJLA) – Fire officials say at least 29 people have been displaced following an apartment fire Tuesday night in Laurel, Maryland.

The Prince George’s County Fire and EMS Department said they got the call around 9:30 p.m. from the 13100 block of Larchdale Road. Crews found part of the three-story apartment building on fire.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and 28 apartment units were impacted.

Crews didn’t find anyone inside the complex and the department said they received help from fire crews in Howard, Montgomery, and Anne Arundel Counties.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
