Los Angeles Fire Department and Culver City Fire Department were called out to the 10800 block of Venice Boulevard for a reported structure.

First arriving units found a single story boarded up vacant commercial building with heavy smoke showing. Two additional task forces were requested.

Units initially started an offensive attack on the fire but quickly transitioned into the defensive mode after discovering a lack of structural integrity in the building. The roof later collapsed.

Hazmat was requested to check for any hazardous materials as the building was a former healthcare facility.
