Centralia, IL House Fire

TrainManBrodie – Centralia, Illinois firefighters had been first called to a house fire at the corner of 15th & S. Elm where a house being remodeled had caught fire. Firefighters report fire coming out several windows and heavy damage to at least two rooms.

While fighting that fire, and while all off-duty Centralia firefighters were responding to assist, a call came in around 11:15pm on July 25th, 2019 reporting this fire in the 600 block of South Locust. The incoming off-duty firefighters were diverted to South Locust and MABAS Mutual Aid call issued for the Centralia Fire District, Sandoval and Odin. Odin stood by at the main Centralia Fire Station. Fire crews had to reroute fire lines to different fire hydrants after a water main broke during the fire, including across Poplar Street blocking Route 51 South.

Firefighters remained on scene until around 8:00 a.m. Friday morning.

My Dad and I stayed from around 11:30pm to 1:30am and here is the footage I got, photos taken during the fire are at the end of the video including daytime aftermath photos.
