Five firefighters hurt in Indio house fire

INDIO, California — KESQ reports that five firefighters were injured while fighting a house fire in Indio on Tuesday morning.

Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 81100 block of Durango Drive at 2:23 a.m.

In a social media post, it was reported that five firefighters were injured when a flashover occurred.

One firefighter was reported to be critical and another serious.

Incident details posted to Twitter by CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department did not provide any specific details or updates on the conditions of the injured firefighters.
