Burlington (CT) Volunteer Fire Department Firefighter Suffers ‘Medical Emergency’ on Scene

A Burlington (CT) Volunteer Fire Department firefighter suffered a “medical emergency” and was rushed to the hospital Tuesday morning while fighting a large fire that severely damaged the New Hartford House.

Officials say the firefighter, a 26-year-old man, collapsed while on scene. More than 100 firefighters from several volunteer departments responded to the fire.
