WASHINGTON (ABC7) – In their legislative meeting Tuesday afternoon, the D.C. City Council has confirmed a new fire chief, according to a tweet from DC Fire and EMS.

Chief Donnelly is a 28-year veteran of DC Fire and EMS. He began his service in 1992 at Truck 16.

He lives in in Manor Park in D.C.’s Ward 4.
