VSTEP Invited to the Korean Serious Games Seminar

Coinciding with the nuclear summit in South Korea, the Dutch Embassy in Seoul together with the Gyeonggi Content Agency and the Korea Game Society organized a Serious Games Seminar focusing on Serious Games that are effectively applied for better training and preparation of safety professionals and emergency services.

As a pioneer nation in the development of Serious Games, The Netherlands host some of the world’s leading serious game developers. South Korea is a leading technology nation in the world, with an open mind towards applying technological innovations for real-life application.

As a leading developer of virtual incident management training, VSTEP was invited by the Dutch Embassy to demonstrate its RescueSim Virtual Incident Management Platform during the seminar. RescueSim is a virtual training platform that prepares emergency services for real-life incidents and allows them to experience and train incidents in a safe virtual 3D environment.

During the RescueSim presentation, the Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Uri Rosenthal took control of the RescueSim simulator and entered a realistic incident scenario as a virtual firefighter together with other participants as they proceeded to take on a hangar fire.

The summit proved a solid event for networking and knowledge sharing between the South Korean and Dutch innovator companies.
