The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Driver/Operator Robert Liguez, 52, of the Alice (TX) Fire Department on September 17, 2021.

Driver/Operator Robert Liguez contracted COVID-19 while responding to numerous EMS calls. Many of the patients he assisted tested positive for the virus. He passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021.
