USFA: Pennsylvania On-Duty Death

Responded to a vehicle crash. After arriving home, he began to have shortness of breath. He was immediately taken to the hospital but passed away shortly after arrival from an apparent heart attack.

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Fire Police Captain Laron Holcomb, 73, of the Ellsworth (PA) Volunteer Fire Department on September 4, 2021.

On Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, Fire Police Captain Laron Holcomb responded to a vehicle crash. After arriving home, he began to have shortness of breath. He was immediately taken to the hospital but passed away shortly after arrival from an apparent heart attack.
