USFA: Maryland On-Duty Death

Contracted COVID-19 while on duty after responding to multiple medical calls with COVID-19-positive patients. Was hospitalized and passed away from complications due to the virus.

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Firefighter/EMT Kelly Frye, 55, of the City of Cumberland (MD) Fire Department on September 29, 2021.

Firefighter/EMT Kelly Frye contracted COVID-19 while on duty after responding to multiple medical calls with COVID-19 positive patients. Firefighter/EMT Frye was hospitalized and passed away from complications due to the virus on September 29, 2021.
