USFA: Illinois Line Of Duty Death

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official line of duty death of Firefighter Corey Shaw, 22, of the Du Quoin Fire Department on June 17, 2011.

Firefighter Shaw passed away from injuries sustained in a wall collapse while operating at a large fire in an antique mall and opera house in nearby Pinckneyville, Illinois. Investigation into the cause of the fire continues by authorities.

Funeral Arrangements:
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Du Quoin Middle School, 845 East Jackson Street.

Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 16 N. Walnut St., Du Quoin. Burial will be in Old Du Quoin Cemetery.
