Contracted COVID-19 at the fire station

The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Chief Randall “Randy” Burnham, 53, of Lake City (FL) Fire Department on September 5, 2021.

While on duty, Chief Randall “Randy” Burnham contracted COVID-19 at the fire station. He passed away from the virus on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021.

Fatality status is provisional and may change as USFA contacts State Fire Marshals to verify fatality incident information.
