The U.S. Fire Administration has announced the official on-duty death of Senior Captain Jeffery Bayless, 51, of the Anchorage Fire Department on March 7, 2014.
Senior Captain Bayless collapsed during Rules Of Air Management (ROAM) training. Crews on scene began immediate treatment and Senior Captain Bayless was transported to Alaska Regional Hospital where he later passed away from a nature of fatal injury still to be reported.
