Two-Alarm Fire in Houston Parking Garage

HOUSTON (Houston Chronicle) – The Houston Fire Department battled a fire in a downtown Houston parking garage near Dallas and Travis streets Monday afternoon.

The cause of the fire was unclear, but early reports are that it was electrical in nature and not a car fire.

It was declared under control at 4:06 p.m.

Traffic off of Travis was halted as a number of fire trucks arrived at the scene.

It was a two alarm fire at one point, an official with the Houston Fire Department said.

The fire is currently under control and the second unit has been called back. No injuries have been reported in the blaze.
