Tulsa Fire Department Considers Lowering Minimum Age

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) – It’s never a dull moment at the Tulsa Fire Department, taking call after call and hiring firefighter after firefighter.

“People are going to retire, and it’s a revolving door,” said Andy Little with TFD. “We do anticipate needing a calls of cadets in the summer time.”

With that said, the department is looking for some new blood, specifically younger blood. They’re considering hiring people as young as 18, lowering the age requirement by three years.
